Hammond 1418N4S16B6 16x12x6 in 316 Stainless Clamped Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4S16B6 is a 16 x 12 x 6 in (406 x 305 x 152 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel, the smallest footprint in the 1418 N4 SS Series ordering table. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in locations that may be hosed down, very wet or where corrosion is a serious problem.

The enclosure is formed from 14 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The stainless steel continuous hinge lets you remove the door by pulling the hinge pin, and easily operated stainless steel clamps secure it. There is provision for padlocking and a literature pocket for the inside of the door.

A removable 12 gauge inner panel measuring 13.00 x 9.00 in is included, finished in white powder coating and mounted on collar studs. Per the drawing, the door opening is 13.21 x 9.21 in, usable depth is 6.17 in and 12.97 x 8.97 in of clear space is available on the door. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure are provided.

Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes on 9.50 x 17.25 in spacing mount it to the wall. Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), with compliance to NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66; REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 30 lbs (13.61 kg), boxed. The 304 version is 1418N4SSB6.
