The 1418N4S16B8 pairs the 16 x 12 in face of the 1418 N4 SS Series with an 8 in depth (406 x 305 x 203 mm), giving 8.17 in of usable depth per the drawing. This Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel suits instrument enclosures, electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings that may be hosed down, very wet or exposed to serious corrosion.
Construction is 14 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes, finished in natural brushed stainless. A formed lip on door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door.
