Hammond 1418N4ALK8 30x24x8 In Type 4X Aluminum Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4ALK8 is a 30 x 24 x 8 in (762 x 610 x 203 mm) Type 4X aluminum wallmount enclosure with a continuous hinge door fastened by aluminum clamps. Its 30 in height gives panel builders a tall mounting surface for control and terminal wiring at an 8 in depth, where equipment may be hosed down or corrosion is a problem.

The body is 0.081 in and the door 0.100 in Type 5052 H-32 aluminum, with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The door is secured with aluminum clamps, has provision for padlocking, and comes off by pulling the aluminum hinge pin. The removable 12 gauge steel inner panel is white powder coated and mounts on collar studs; the door carries a literature pocket and bonding stud, with a grounding stud in the enclosure.

The 1418N4ALK8 is 30 in x 24 in x 8 in (762 mm x 610 mm x 203 mm) (H x W x D). A removable 27.00 x 21.00 in (686 x 533 mm) steel inner panel is included; the 12 in deep 1418N4ALK12 uses the same panel size. For layout, the manufacturer drawing shows an overall height of 32.25 in including the mounting brackets and an overall depth of 9.22 in, a 27.57 x 21.22 in door opening and 8.09 in of usable depth. Mounting holes are 0.44 in diameter, and the shipping weight is 44 lbs (19.96 kg).
