Hammond 1418JP9 42x36x9 In Type 12 Steel Wallmount JIC Enclosure

Built for control-panel shops, OEM engineers and maintenance electricians, the 1418JP9 is a 42 x 36 x 9 in steel wallmount JIC enclosure rated NEMA Type 12. It houses electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments and provides a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water.

Construction is 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A continuous hinge carries the cover, which closes with plated screws threaded into sealed wells against permanently secured, oil resistant gaskets. Cover and body are phosphatized and powder coated in recoatable ANSI 61 gray.

A removable 12 gauge inner panel measuring 39 x 33 in (991 x 838 mm), finished in white powder coating, is included and mounts on collar studs. The manufacturer drawing shows a 35.86 in door opening width and 8.06 in of usable depth. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud on the enclosure and a literature pocket on the inside of the door round out the fit-out. The 1418JP9 is a broad 42 x 36 in wallmount enclosure with a 39 x 33 in inner panel, suited to machine-control panels that need a large mounting surface without moving to a floor-standing cabinet.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting; the drawing shows 0.44 in mounting holes on a 30.00 x 43.25 in pattern and an overall height of 44.25 in including brackets. The enclosure is UL 508A Type 12 (UL File E65324), complies with NEMA Type 12 and IP54 to IEC 60529, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 165 lbs (74.84 kg).
