Hammond 1418JK7 30x24x7 Type 12 Wallmount JIC Enclosure with Panel

The Hammond 1418JK7 is a NEMA Type 12 mild steel wallmount enclosure (large JIC style) from the 1418J Series that is a 30 x 24 x 7 in enclosure, combining 30 in of height with a 24 in width at the 7 in depth. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, and is aimed at control panel shops, OEM machine builders and maintenance electricians.

The enclosure measures 30 in x 24 in x 7 in (762 mm x 610 mm x 178 mm) (H x W x D) and includes a removable 12 gauge inner panel of 27 x 21 in (686 mm x 533 mm), finished in white powder coating. Its 27 x 21 in inner panel is taller than the 21 x 21 in panel of the 24 x 24 size. The drawing shows a door opening 23.86 in wide by 29.00 in high and a usable depth of 6.06 in. Shipping weight is 72 lbs (32.66 kg), packed in a box.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The continuously hinged cover is secured with plated screws threaded into sealed wells, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Collar studs are provided for mounting the inner panel, a bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure, and a literature pocket sits on the inside of the door. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder coating.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting of the 1418JK7. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 (UL File E65324) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529, IP54, providing a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water.
