Hammond 1418A6LP 12x24x6 In NEMA 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure, Less Panel

The 1418A6LP is a 12 x 24 x 6 in landscape wallmount enclosure from the 1418LP series, rated NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and supplied less inner panel. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, or installed outdoors.

Body and door are formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the opening. The door rides on a stainless steel continuous hinge and can be removed by pulling the stainless steel hinge pin.

Stainless steel clamps secure the door, and there is provision for padlocking. Inside, collar studs accept an optional inner panel measuring 9 x 21 in (229 x 533 mm): order 18P2109 for white or 18G2109 for galvanized. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are provided, and the cover and body are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The manufacturer drawing shows a 21.25 x 9.25 in (W x H) opening with the door removed, 6.00 in of usable depth and an overall depth of 7.21 in including the door. Its 12 in tall by 24 in wide landscape shape and 6 in depth make the 1418A6LP a natural fit for a horizontal run of terminal blocks or a row of DIN-rail devices mounted low on a wall or machine frame.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 0.44 in holes on a 18.00 x 13.25 in pattern and an overall height of 14.25 in including brackets. The 1418A6LP complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, is listed under UL File E65324, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and has a shipping weight of 26 lbs (11.79 kg).
