Hammond 1418AR10LP 24x12x10 In NEMA 4/12 Wallmount Enclosure, Less Panel

For electricians, OEM engineers and panel builders who need a washdown-capable or outdoor housing, the 1418AR10LP is a 24 x 12 x 10 in mild steel wallmount enclosure carrying UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 12, 13 and 4 ratings. It ships without an inner panel, so you can choose the panel finish that suits your build.

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel with continuously welded, smooth seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door closes with easily operated stainless steel clamps against a seamless poured-in-place gasket, and a formed lip on both door and body keeps flowing liquids and contaminants out. The stainless steel continuous hinge uses a pull-out pin, so the door can be removed.

Stainless steel clamps secure the door, and there is provision for padlocking. Inside, collar studs accept an optional inner panel measuring 21 x 9 in (533 x 229 mm): order 18P2109 for white or 18G2109 for galvanized. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are provided, and the cover and body are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The manufacturer drawing shows a 9.25 x 21.25 in (W x H) opening with the door removed, 10.00 in of usable depth and an overall depth of 11.21 in including the door. The 1418AR10LP is the deepest of the 24 x 12 in portrait sizes at 10 in, useful when a narrow wall space must still accept deeper devices.

Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 0.44 in holes on a 9.50 x 25.25 in pattern and an overall height of 26.25 in including brackets. The 1418AR10LP complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, is listed under UL File E65324, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and has a shipping weight of 34 lbs (15.42 kg).
