The 1414N4SSG is an 8 x 6 x 3.5 in (203 x 152 x 89 mm) Type 4X junction box in the 1414 N4 SS Series. Its 3.5 in depth keeps a low profile on the wall while the 8 x 6 in face leaves room for a terminal strip or small instrument, making it suitable for electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures, instrument enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings.
Formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, the enclosure has a natural brushed finish. A lift-off cover secured with stainless steel clamps and screws closes on a seamless poured-in-place gasket, providing protection where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, or where corrosion may be a problem.
The included removable 14 gauge inner panel measures 6.75 x 4.88 in, is white powder coated and mounts on tapped studs. From the drawing: 7.30 x 5.30 in cover opening, 2.85 in usable depth and 7.15 x 5.15 in of clear space available on the cover. A bonding stud on the cover and a grounding stud in the enclosure are provided.
Welded brackets with 0.31 in holes on 4.00 x 8.75 in spacing handle mounting. The unit is listed UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 8 lbs (3.63 kg), boxed.
