The 1414N4SSC4 is a narrow 6 x 4 x 4 in (152 x 102 x 102 mm) Type 4X junction box in the 1414 N4 SS Series. Its upright format suits a few terminals, a small instrument or a splice point in electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings exposed to hose-down, heavy moisture or corrosion.
It is built from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural brushed finish. The lift-off cover is secured by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket.
A removable 14 gauge inner panel, 4.88 x 2.88 in and finished in white powder coating, is included and mounts on tapped studs. The drawing lists a 5.30 x 3.30 in cover opening, 3.35 in of usable depth and 5.15 x 3.15 in of clear space available on the cover. There is a bonding stud on the cover and a grounding stud in the enclosure.
Welded brackets provide mounting, with 0.31 in holes on 2.00 x 6.75 in spacing. Listings and compliance: UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, REACH and RoHS. Ships in a box at 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
