The 1411D is a ASA 61 grey aluminum utility case from the 1411-1412 Series, measuring 3.20 in (81 mm) long, 2.20 in (56 mm) wide and 1.60 in (41 mm) high. It is a simple two-piece metal box for OEM engineers, electricians and hobbyists who need to house a small circuit board, controls or wiring.
The D size takes the 3.20 x 2.20 in (81 x 56 mm) footprint of the C size and adds height, to 1.60 in (41 mm), for taller components on the same board area.
Both the bottom and the cover are formed from 0.04 in thick aluminum. This version is finished in smooth ASA 61 grey powder coat (Hammond color GY2).
The purchased assembly includes the bottom, cover and 4 cover screws; the cover fastens with self-tapping screws. Replacement screws are available as 1421J6, a package of six 6-32 Philips head screws. The 1411D can also be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in STEP or IGES format for enclosure layout work.
