Both the bottom and the cover are formed from 0.04 in thick aluminum. This version is left as unfinished aluminum. It is protected through manufacturing and shipping by a plastic film cover that keeps the surface in good condition and also doubles as a removable drilling template.
The purchased assembly includes the bottom, cover and 4 cover screws; the cover fastens with self-tapping screws. Replacement screws are available as 1421J6, a package of six 6-32 Philips head screws. The 1411CU can also be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in STEP or IGES format for enclosure layout work.
