Hammond 125CSE 8 W Single Ended Tube Output Transformer, 60 mA

The 125CSE is an 8 watt universal single ended tube output transformer intended for general purpose or replacement use (not Hi-Fi). It is well suited to builders of single ended guitar and hobby amplifiers and to technicians replacing a failed output transformer in single ended equipment.

Rated for up to 60 mA DC bias, the 125CSE uses a butt stacked 29M6 steel core with an air gap to reduce D.C. core saturation. Its primary (BLU - BRN) presents 10,000, 5,000 or 2,500 ohms depending on which secondary lead is used with the black common:

• WHT: 32 ohms at 10,000, 16 ohms at 5,000 or 8 ohms at 2,500 ohm primary
• YEL: 16 ohms at 10,000, 8 ohms at 5,000 or 4 ohms at 2,500
• GRN: 8 ohms at 10,000 or 4 ohms at 5,000
• ORG: 4 ohms at 10,000

Typical drawing data lists 200 ohms primary DCR, a 9.28 H primary inductance and 57.50 kOhm primary impedance at 1 kHz, 1 V, with secondary DCR from 232 milliohms (black - orange) to 595 milliohms (black - white). Frequency response is 100 Hz - 15 kHz at full rated power, dielectric strength 1500 Vrms, and temperature range -40 to 105C.

The 125CSE is open style with primary and secondary leads at least 12 inches long. It measures A 3.69 in (94 mm), B 1.86 in (47 mm), C 2.31 in (59 mm) and D 3.13 in (80 mm) with 0.19 in (5 mm) mounting holes, and weighs 1.3 lbs (0.59 kg). It is made in Canada and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
