The 119Y30 is a 30 watt audio sound distribution line matching transformer from the 119 Series. It converts an 8 or 16 Ω amplifier output to a 25 V or 70 V distribution line, and is suitable for driving from solid state amplifiers where isolated windings are not required. It can also be used with Hammond's "Classic" 1600 tube output transformers to provide a 25 V or 70 V line output.
The transformer can be reversed for operation at high power speaker locations. Its drawing lists frequency response of 50 Hz to 10 kHz (0/-1.0 dB, reference at 1 kHz) and distortion of less than 1% at 50 Hz, with 1500 VRMS dielectric strength and a -40 to 105°C temperature range.
Connections are numbered pins: COM on PIN 14, 8 Ω on PIN 12, 16 Ω on PIN 10, 25 V on PIN 8 and 70 V on PIN 16. Typical DC resistance from COM is 0.70 Ω (8 Ω), 1.02 Ω (16 Ω), 1.18 Ω (25 V) and 3.80 Ω (70 V). Leads are 6" long minimum per the series and drawing.
The 119Y30 is the bracket-mount model of the series. The series table gives mounting centers of 3.56 in (90 mm), a 0.19 in (5 mm) mounting hole slot and overall dimensions A 4.03 in (102 mm), B 2.25 in (57 mm), C 2.63 in (67 mm) and D 3.56 in (90 mm). The unit weighs 2.40 lbs in the series table (shipping weight 2.4 lbs / 1.09 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
