The 106M has the highest primary impedance of the interstage models in the 106 Series: 20000 ohms nominal, coupled to a 2000 ohm centre-tapped secondary. That makes it a candidate for designers working from a very high-impedance source stage into a centre-tapped following stage on a small PC board.
It is rated for 150 mW output with 1 dB insertion loss and a -1 dB low frequency roll-off at 215 Hz. Maximum primary DC is 4.5 mA. The primary winding measures 1180 ohms DC resistance and the secondary 89 ohms (+/- 15%), so the higher primary resistance should be allowed for in the driving circuit.
Construction is rugged black epoxy potting that produces a completely sealed unit able to withstand severe environmental conditions, including those of MIL-T-27 (Grade 5, Class S). Centre-tapped windings use a bifilar technique for balanced resistive and capacitive characteristics, and the series carries a peak working voltage rating of 200V.
It mounts directly to a printed circuit board on square pins (0.025" square typical); where a connection is not used, no pin exists. It is REACH and RoHS compliant. Figure 7 of the series drawings covers the 106M; shipping weight is 0.09 lbs (0.04 kg).
