Hammond VFMMD12BK 12 in Wide 44U Double-Sided Vertical Cable Manager

The VFMMD12BK is a 12 in wide double-sided vertical cable manager from the VFM Series high density finger duct line, built for routing large volumes of copper and fiber patch cables on both the front and rear of open frame racks. It is intended for data centers, network and telecom rooms, and cross-connect or high-density patching environments where a centralized cable spine between racks is needed.

The VFM Series uses a 16-gauge steel frame with a high-density finger duct design; this part is built from mild steel and finished in painted textured black powder coat (GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant). Metal fingers are spaced at 2U intervals and clip-on plastic finger guards and edge protectors (shipped loose) help maintain bend radius for fiber, Cat6/6A and coax cables. Full-height removable covers provide cable containment, and the manager ships with dual hinged doors plus mounting hardware.

Overall size is 81 in x 12 in x 24.5 in (2,057 mm x 305 mm x 622 mm), with 77.00 in (1956 mm) of mounting height equal to 44 rack units, and a shipping weight of 102 lbs (46.27 kg). The extended 24.5 in depth increases usable cable space compared with standard-depth vertical managers. Estimated fill for VFMMD12BK is 1080 Cat 6 or 750 Cat 6a cables at a 50% fill ratio across the combined front and rear channel openings, and 28 Cat 6 per finger opening, with a rear pass-through capacity of 1904 Cat 6 at 50% fill.

Managers in this series are designed to mount to racks rather than sit directly on the floor, and the design scales for ganging multiple racks and managers. The unit is TAA-compliant, USMCA compliant and manufactured in Canada.
