Hammond UHDM847924MFTC 84x79x24 Main Two-Door Type 12 Disconnect Enclosure

The UHDM847924MFTC is the main enclosure of a Type 12 mild steel modular freestanding disconnect system: the section that houses the flange-mounted disconnect switch or circuit breaker operator, with its left side open so secondary enclosures can be bolted on. It measures 84.13 x 79 x 24.13 in (2137 x 2007 x 613 mm), has a double-door front and ships with a 72.00 x 72.00 in inner panel. It is aimed at panel builders, OEM engineers and electrical contractors assembling multi-section disconnect line-ups.

It combines the full 84.13 in height, 79.00 in two-door width and 24.13 in depth (23.22 in usable) for the largest main enclosure in the UHDM listing, at a shipping weight of 1145 lbs. The drawing shows two door openings of 34.75 x 73.38 in and 23.22 in of usable depth.

The body is formed from 10 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, heavy duty lifting eyes in reinforced top corners and removable doors on heavy duty lift off hinges. A flange trough collar (FTC) around the door excludes liquids and contaminants, the reinforced side openings give smooth edges and preset gasket compression, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The formed 10 gauge inner panel sits on collar studs with panel supports and a removable center post. The enclosure is phosphatized and finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat; the inner panel is white.

A heavy duty three point latching mechanism secures the door. The main door handle has a screw defeater and padlock hasp, and a mechanical interlock activated by the main door prevents the auxiliary door from being opened first. The universal flange cutout accepts ABB, Allen Bradley 1494V/1494U, C-H Westinghouse C361, Cutler Hammer C371, GE STDA, I-T-E Max-Flex and Square D Class 9422 flange mechanisms using the appropriate operator adaptor kit. Disconnects and operators are not included.

The UHDM system is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54; appropriate components are required to maintain these standards.
