Hammond UHDM727818SFTC 72x78.5x18 Secondary Two-Door Type 12 Enclosure

The UHDM727818SFTC is a secondary enclosure for the Type 12 mild steel UHDM modular freestanding disconnect system. Both sides are open, so it bolts between or beside other modules to extend a line-up that starts with a main enclosure housing the disconnect. It measures 72.13 x 78.5 x 18.13 in (1832 x 1994 x 461 mm), has a double-door front and includes a 60.00 x 72.00 in inner panel for control components.

With two doors across 78.50 in of width and a 72.00 x 60.00 in inner panel, this secondary section adds a large block of mounting area in a single 72.13 in tall module. The drawing shows two door openings of 34.75 x 61.38 in and 17.22 in of usable depth.

The body is formed from 10 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, heavy duty lifting eyes in reinforced top corners and removable doors on heavy duty lift off hinges. A flange trough collar (FTC) around the door excludes liquids and contaminants, the reinforced side openings give smooth edges and preset gasket compression, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The formed 10 gauge inner panel sits on collar studs with panel supports and a removable center post. The enclosure is phosphatized and finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat; the inner panel is white.

A heavy duty three point latching mechanism secures the door, and the secondary door handle includes a padlock hasp. Within a line-up, a mechanical interlock activated by the main door prevents the auxiliary door from being opened first. A bonding stud is provided in the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure for each door, and a literature pocket is included.

The UHDM system is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54; appropriate components are required to maintain these standards.
