Hammond SR1701650 44U Seismic 4-Post Open Frame Rack, 2000 lb

The SR1701650 is a 44U seismic four-post open frame rack from the SR_4P Series, built for mission-critical healthcare, telecom, utility, government and other critical infrastructure environments that require certified seismic performance. It is assembled from two proven DRZ477 seismic relay racks joined by a factory-supplied adjustable extension bracket system, creating a four-post platform for deeper servers, network switches, storage arrays and telecom equipment.

Construction is heavy-duty 10-gauge welded mild steel finished in black powder coat (GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant). The rack is UL2416 load rated to 2,000 lb (907 kg), static load tested to 8,000 lb (3,628 kg), and seismic load rated to 800 lb (362 kg) plus 50 lb of cable weight when installed with the appropriate seismic bolt-down kit. It has been independently tested and certified to exceed Telcordia GR-63-CORE Zone 4 seismic requirements.

Front and rear threaded 10-32 mounting rails carry silk-screened rack unit markings on both sides, reversed so that 1U is at the top and 44U at the bottom. Mounting depth is adjustable from 28.00 in to 48.00 in using the two included adjustable bracket pairs (28 in to 39 in and 36 in to 48 in), so equipment of varying depth can be supported. Integrated grounding studs simplify bonding and grounding, and side mounting provisions accept cable management accessories and multi-rack bay-to-bay configurations.

The open frame architecture leaves equipment fully accessible for installation, servicing and cable routing. SR1701650 ships unassembled and is manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility; it is TAA compliant, USMCA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant. Originally developed for healthcare installations needing certified seismic performance to fixed specifications, SR1701650 is now offered as a standard stocked product for a broader range of critical infrastructure deployments.
