The SDV180-1 is a small rainproof ventilator, sold as a package of one, that lets an electrical enclosure breathe. It is designed to equalize internal and external pressure and temperature and assists in condensation prevention, for technicians working with most types of metallic and non-metallic enclosures.
It is molded in corrosion resistant, UV stabilized polycarbonate with a RAL7035 Light Gray finish, with gasket protection to the enclosure wall. An internal vent channel and grille reduce insect intrusion, and the vent complies with NEMA Type 3R and IEC 60529 IP24.
At approximately 1.18 in (30 mm) high by 0.98 in (25 mm) wide, it is the compact option compared with the large SDV280 ventilator. It fits enclosure walls up to 0.16 in (4 mm) thick. Shipping weight is 0.1 lbs (0.05 kg).
Installation of the SDV180-1 takes a single 3/4 in hole: install the vent and O-ring, then tighten the plastic nut with a 15/16 in wrench without overtightening. No screws or extra drilling are needed beyond the one hole, which keeps the installation quick on existing enclosures. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
