Hammond RZ0366 82x80x55 mm Beige ABS Watertight IP65 Enclosure

The RZ0366 is a water-tight enclosure from the RZ Series, built from beige ABS plastic with a smooth-surface opaque lid and designed to meet IP65. It is aimed at OEM engineers, electronics designers and panel builders who need to house a printed circuit board or DIN rail mounted components in an indoor setting.

Its 82 x 80 x 55 mm body is almost square, which suits boards of up to 73.88 x 71.88 mm and leaves 49.00 mm of inside height for taller parts. Overall size is 3.23 in x 3.15 in x 2.17 in (82 mm x 80 mm x 55 mm); the drawing gives an inside height of 49.00 mm [1.93 in] and an inside width of 72.72 mm [2.86 in].

The lid uses a gasketed, two-piece tongue and groove construction that protects against the entry of oil, dust and water. Lid screws are self-captivating: the lid holes are threaded the first time the screws are installed. For wall mounting, the through box-blind hole construction places the mounting holes outside the gasket perimeter, so fixing the box to a wall does not breach the seal.

The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws; PCB bosses accept M3 self-tapping screws and the recommended lid screw torque is 43-50 ozf.in (30-35 cN.m). The ABS material carries a UL94 HB flame rating with a temperature range of -30 °C to +80 °C, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. Replacement gaskets are sold as RZ0366GASKET (2-pack).
