The RSSB1UBK is a 1U rack shelf stop bracket, supplied as a matched left-hand and right-hand pair, that keeps a sliding rack shelf from extending unintentionally. It is aimed at IT and data center teams, AV and broadcast integrators, telecom installers and OEM engineers who need a simple safety stop on shelves that would otherwise roll out during servicing, transport or in busy walkways.
Unlike a permanent locking device, the RSSB acts as a retention stop: the shelf is held securely when the brackets are engaged, yet full shelf travel is restored when the release tabs are raised. Construction is 16-gauge mild steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, so the brackets stand up to repeated contact with a loaded shelf.
This 1U version measures 1.72 in (44 mm) overall height and 0.75 in (19 mm) overall depth, with a usable mounting height of 1.75 in (44 mm) across one rack unit.
