The RSP3U20 is a 3U sliding rack shelf for standard 19-inch EIA racks, built for IT, AV, network and telecom equipment that needs to be pulled forward for installation, service or adjustment rather than removed from the rack. It belongs to the RSP Series of sliding shelves and is the deeper of the two offerings, with a 20.00 in (508 mm) shelf depth and 20.06 in (510 mm) of travel on a pair of 20 in full-travel ball-bearing slides.
Construction is heavy-duty mild steel with a painted textured black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The assembly consists of the RSP 3U 20D shell, two 20 in full-travel slides and the RSP 20D slide shelf, so the shelf glides smoothly and predictably under load. Rated capacity for the series is up to 200 lb.
Overall dimensions are 5.25 in (133 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 20.25 in (514 mm) deep, occupying 3U of rack height, with a 19 in mounting width of 18.35 in (466 mm) and an inside width of 15.88 in (403 mm). Fully extended, the shelf and shell measure 40.28 in (1023 mm). Shipping weight is 25 lbs (11.34 kg).
Front venting on the RSP3U20 lets flanged enclosures be mounted vertically inside the rack, moving equipment off backboards and freeing wall space, while front slots accept cable ties or hook-and-loop straps (TS96 compatible) to secure vertically mounted devices. Rear adjustable divider mounting slots accept optional RSPF15 equipment barriers for supporting or separating non-rackmount components.
