Hammond RP1275BF 186x146x55 mm Flanged IP65 Abs Enclosure, Opaque Lid

The RP1275BF is a water-tight ABS enclosure from the RP Series With Bottom Flange, built with an opaque lid and an integral bottom flange for surface mounting. It suits OEM engineers and integrators housing printed circuit boards or components, and is designed to meet IP65.

The body is light gray ABS plastic with a flame rating of UL94 HB. The gasketed lid uses two-piece "tongue & groove" construction to protect against access of oil, dust and water; the rubber gasket is included and must be field installed. The lid is secured with self-captivating M3.5 stainless steel machine screws (included) threaded into corrosion-resistant bushings, and it has a smooth recessed area (0.40 mm [0.02 in] inlay depth on the drawing) for a membrane, label or silkscreen.

The series ordering table lists its nominal size as 7.32 in (186 mm) x 5.75 in (146 mm) x 2.17 in (55 mm); the part page lists 6.5 in x 5.75 in x 2.17 in (165 mm x 146 mm x 55 mm) and the drawing shows 55.00 mm [2.17 in] overall height. The 186 x 146 mm footprint is the largest in the series ordering table; at 55 mm tall this body gives 48.13 mm of inside height over a PC board area of up to 173 x 134 mm. Per the drawing, the inside dimensions are 178.21 mm [7.02 in] long, 138.21 mm [5.44 in] wide and 48.13 mm [1.89 in] high, the overall length across the flange is 219.95 mm [8.66 in], and the flange mounting holes are 5.20 mm [0.20 in] in diameter. Shipping weight is 0.99 lbs (0.45 kg).

Inside, the RP1275BF has PC board mounting posts that accept M3 self-tapping screws and internal DIN rail mounting tabs. Optional inner panels are available in plastic (STC128) or aluminum (STA128), with replacement gasket 2-pack RP128GASKET and 50-packs of lid screws (SC619-50) and PC board screws (SC622-50). The part is RoHS and REACH compliant. Avoid acetone, thread-locking compounds and cutting fluid, which can damage the plastic.
