Hammond RP1045 95x50x50mm IP65 Abs Enclosure, Opaque Lid

The RP1045 is a light gray, general purpose ABS water-tight enclosure with an opaque lid, part of the RP Series. It is the 50 mm deep version of the 95 x 50 mm footprint, giving a narrow board extra headroom, and is intended for OEM engineers, integrators and electronics builders who need a sealed housing for printed circuit boards or components.

The ABS body carries a UL94 HB flame rating. Its two piece tongue & groove lid, sealed by a rubber gasket that is field installed, is designed to meet IP65 against oil, dust and water, and the lid top includes a smooth recessed area for a membrane, label or silkscreen.

Nominal size is 3.74 in x 1.97 in x 1.97 in (95 x 50 x 50 mm). Inside, the drawing gives 44.50 mm [1.75 in] of height and 42.70 mm [1.68 in] of width, and that is 10 mm more depth than the 40 mm deep model on the same footprint. PC board mounting posts accept M3 self-tapping screws and take a board up to 87 mm long and 41.5 mm wide.

The lid is secured with M3.5-0.6 x 10mm self-captivating screws threaded into corrosion resistant bushings for repeated assembly and disassembly; recommended torque is 43-50 ozf.in (30-35 cN.m). Each RP1045 ships in a bag with the box, lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws. Optional inner panels are STC104 (ABS, 3mm) and STA104 (metal, 1mm), and RP103GASKET is the replacement EPDM gasket 2-pack. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
