Hammond RMP1908 17" x 8" Internal Aluminum Chassis Panel

The RMP1908 is an internal aluminum chassis panel for full-width, shallow RMC rack mount instrument enclosures. It is sized for enclosures 17.00 in wide by 8.00 in deep and gives builders a removable plate for boards and components that can be laid out on the bench before it goes into the case.

The panel is 16.72 in wide, 6.00 in deep and 0.50 in high (425 x 152 x 13 mm). The drawing shows it formed from 1.63 mm (0.06 in) aluminum with 12.70 mm (0.50 in) flanges, left in a natural aluminum finish.

Compatible enclosures named on the RMP1908 drawing are the RMCS19038 and RMCS19018, the 2U and 1U full-width, 8 in deep RMC models. The panel fastens through the enclosure side panels with #6-32 x 1/2 in pan head screws. The kit includes the panel and 4 screws, and the recommended screw torque is 8.8-9.7 lbf-in (100-110 cN-m). A 50-pack of black inner panel screws is sold as SC536BK-50.
