The RMD1923BK is a 1U fixed rack mount desk that turns a single rack space into a usable work surface for writing, configuring equipment, or resting a laptop or portable test instrument. Construction is 16-gauge mild steel with a durable powder coat finish in RAL 9005 black (textured black on the drawing), and the finish is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The simple fixed design has no moving parts, which keeps maintenance to a minimum while maximizing durability. The assembly consists of a top panel assembly with left- and right-hand rack desk mounting brackets, plus 1/4-20 KEP nuts and washers.
Overall dimensions are 1.75 in (44 mm) high, 23.00 in (584 mm) wide and 17.50 in (445 mm) deep, with a 19.00 in (483 mm) cabinet mounting width and an overall depth of 33.50 in (851 mm) with the desk extended forward of the rails. The steel work surface supports up to 100 lb (45 kg).
RMD1923BK mounts directly to the front rack rails of standard 19-inch EIA-310-E racks and cabinets, with the desktop seated flush to the cabinet frame for added stability; maximum rail depth is 2.63 in from the front of the frame. Mounting hardware for attaching to the rails is not included. The part is manufactured in Canada in an ISO 9001 certified facility, is TAA-compliant and USMCA compliant, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
