The Hammond RM4U28BKSP is a replacement side panel for 4U RM Series rack-mount aluminum instrument enclosures, 28 in (711 mm) deep and sold individually. It is intended for OEM builders, repair technicians and integrators who need to replace a damaged panel, re-work a chassis or keep spare parts on hand.
At 28 in long it is the longest 4U side panel in the RM Series, with eight 4.20 mm [0.165 in] holes on both sides and six 4.04 mm [0.159 in] holes per its drawing.
RM Series side panels are extruded aluminum 0.125" (3.2 mm) thick, and this panel is black to match the series' textured black powder coat. The RM4U28BKSP drawing shows a 177.04 mm [6.970 in] profile height, 4 X 10-32 UNF-2B tapped holes, and four 4.00 mm [0.157 in] through holes countersunk 7.50 mm [0.295 in] x 82 degrees.
