Hammond RM2055S Slim 190x140x30.5 mm ABS Instrument Enclosure

The RM2055S is the slim, 30.5 mm deep option in the 190 x 140 mm RM Series footprint: a light grey ABS instrument enclosure for large, low-profile P.C. boards such as control panels and interface boards. It is designed to house P.C. boards for instrument use and suits OEM engineers, designers and electronics builders.

The enclosure is molded in light grey general purpose ABS plastic with a light texture, while the front and rear panels are smooth. The material carries a UL94 HB flammability rating. It uses two-part clam shell construction, and the front and rear panels are interchangeable and easily removable for modification. The bottom half has molded-in standoffs that accept the supplied M3 x 6mm self-tapping P.C. board screws.

Listed dimensions are 190 mm long x 140 mm wide x 30.5 mm deep, and the RM2055S accepts a P.C. board of up to 180.2 x 127.5 mm. Inside height is 24.50 mm [0.96 in]. Shipping weight is 0.44 lbs (0.20 kg).

Tongue and groove construction provides protection against dust and water, and the design is intended to meet IP43. The lid is closed with the supplied M3 self-tapping lid screws (replacement pack SC616-50). Each purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 2 end panels, 4 P.C. board screws and 4 lid screws; recommended torque is (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The optional FT-01 folding foot kit mounts to the bottom half toward the front to angle the front panel for viewing.

The RM2055S is REACH and RoHS compliant. Enclosures can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t format.
