Hammond RM1U04BKSP 1U x 4 in Replacement Side Panel, Black Aluminum

The RM1U04BKSP is a replacement 1U side panel for the RM Series rack mount aluminum instrument enclosure, sold individually. It has a nominal depth of 4.00 in (102 mm) and is listed as a 1U x 4" side panel in black. It suits integrators, OEM engineers and service technicians who need to replace a damaged side, re-work a chassis or keep a spare on hand.

The panel is aluminum; RM Series side panels are extruded aluminum 0.125" (3.2 mm) thick, and the enclosure is finished in a rugged textured black powder coat. Because of that powder coat finish, panels are not grounded to the frame, so the grounding method is to be determined by the customer.

On the drawing, the panel measures 107.85 mm [4.246 in] long with a profile height of 43.69 mm [1.720 in] and a profile width of 16.51 mm [0.650 in]. This is the shortest side panel in the 1U range. At 4.00 in nominal depth it is the only 1U side panel with just two 10-32 UNF-2B tapped holes rather than four, and it carries no additional row of clearance holes along its length.

The RM Series uses interchangeable side panels, and the ordering table lists the same 4.00 in depth in other heights as RM2U04BKSP (2U), RM3U04BKSP (3U). The RM1U04BKSP ships at 0.2 lbs (0.09 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
