Hammond RL6365 125x100x90mm Gray ABS Project Enclosure

The RL6365 is a light gray ABS plastic project enclosure from the RL Series (shallow lid), measuring 125 x 100 x 90 mm (4.92 in x 3.94 in x 3.54 in). This plain-sided version, without mounting flanges, is designed for hand-held use or wall mount. It is intended for OEM engineers and integrators housing assemblies with tall components on a 125 x 100 mm footprint.

The two-part housing is molded in light gray general purpose ABS with a light texture and carries a UL94 HB flame rating. Both halves have a smooth recessed area for a membrane, label or silkscreen (0.30 mm inlay depth on the drawing), and P.C. board standoffs are molded into both halves. The enclosure is designed to meet IP54 and is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.

It keeps the 125 x 100 mm footprint of the RL6335 but stands 90 mm tall, giving 84.40 mm of inside height for taller components, terminal blocks or stacked boards. The drawing gives inside dimensions of 116.72 mm [4.60 in] long, 91.72 mm [3.61 in] wide and 84.40 mm [3.32 in] high. The series ordering table lists a maximum P.C. board size of 115.96 x 85.26 mm (the part page lists 117.53 x 92.53 mm). Shipping weight is 0.4 lbs (0.18 kg), packed in a bag.

Each purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws. The box accepts M2.6 self-tapping screws for the board and M3 self-tapping screws for the lid, with a recommended torque of 43-50 ozf.in (30-35 cN.m). Replacement packs are SC617-50 (M3 x 25 mm lid screws, 50 pack) and SC519-50 (M2.6 x 6 mm PCB screws, 50 pack). The same size is offered as RL6365BK in black and RL6365-F with flanges.

Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available, as are .stp and .x_t solid models. ABS can be damaged by some chemicals, including acetone, ketones, thread-locking compounds and cutting or tapping fluid, so use plastic-safe cleaners only.
