Hammond RL6335 125x100x60mm Light Gray ABS Project Enclosure, IP54

The RL6335 is a 125 x 100 mm ABS plastic project enclosure from the RL Series of shallow-lid boxes, designed to house P.C. boards for hand-held use or wall mount. It suits OEM engineers, electronics builders and integrators who need a light gray housing for a small circuit board assembly. Its 125 mm x 100 mm footprint is wider than the 125 mm x 80 mm sizes, it stands 60 mm tall, and its lid fastens with M3 self-tapping screws while the P.C. board mounts with M2.6 self-tapping screws.

The enclosure is molded in light grey general purpose ABS plastic with a light texture and uses two-part construction. Both the box and the shallow lid carry a smooth recessed area for a membrane, label or silkscreen, and P.C. board standoffs are molded into both halves, with bosses that accept M3 self-tapping lid screws and M2.6 self-tapping PCB screws.

Nominal size is 4.92 in x 3.94 in x 2.36 in (125 mm x 100 mm x 60 mm), with inside dimensions of 118.29 mm [4.66 in] long, 93.29 mm [3.67 in] wide and 54.40 mm [2.14 in] high. It accepts a maximum P.C. board of 117.53 mm x 92.53 mm. This is the version without wall mounting flanges; the flanged equivalent is RL6335-F. Shipping weight is 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg).

Each purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws, and the recommended screw torque is (43-50) Ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The RL6335 is designed to meet IP54, uses UL94 HB rated ABS, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Some chemicals can damage or weaken the plastic, including acetone, ketones, thread-locking compounds, cutting or tapping fluid and strong solvents, so use only plastic-safe cleaners. The enclosure can also be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t. The black counterpart of this size is RL6335BK.
