Hammond RH3015 130mm Light Grey Hand-Held ABS Enclosure, IP54

The RH3015 is the light grey, non-gasketed 130 mm hand-held enclosure with battery door in the RH Series. At 5.12 x 2.68 x 0.98 in (130 x 68 x 25 mm) and listed as IP54, it suits product designers housing a printed circuit board in a portable device where the fully gasketed IP65 version is not needed.

The RH3015 is molded in a general purpose ABS plastic that carries a UL flammability rating of UL94 HB. It is ergonomically designed for a comfortable fit in the user's hand, and the top half has a smooth recessed area for membranes, keypads and labels. Both halves contain molded PC board standoffs that accept M2.6 self-tapping screws.

Its lap joint construction provides protection against dust accumulation and splashing water. For IP65 sealing with a factory-installed gasket, choose the grey RH3005 instead.

The series table lists 130 x 67.5 x 25 mm; the drawing shows 130.00 x 67.50 x 25.00 mm overall. It takes P.C. boards up to 67.3 x 61.33 mm. The purchased assembly includes box, lid, 4 PCB screws, the battery door and 4 lid screws. It is assembled with M3 Philips self-tapping screws at a recommended torque of (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. Accessories include SC616-50 M3 x 20 mm cover screws, SC623-50 M3 x 8 mm screws, SC519-50 PCB screws and the CP-001BK or CP-001G nylon belt clip. The black version is the RH3011BK.

The enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t. It is RoHS and REACH compliant. Some chemicals, such as acetone, ketones and thread locking compounds, can damage or weaken the plastic.
