Hammond RH30000N4LG PF3X000 Type 4 Rainhood, RAL7035 Light Gray

The RH30000N4LG is a Type 4 filterfan rainhood that mounts over a PF 3X000 Series Filterfan or PFA 30000 exhaust filter to shield the opening from spraying water. It is intended for OEM panel shops and facilities teams who run light gray RAL7035 enclosures and need their filterfan intakes and exhausts protected from spraying water. When combined with a PF Series Filterfan the assembly is UL / cUL Listed Type 4 and rated IPx6.

The cover is powder coated RAL7035 Light Gray over galvanized steel, an alternative to the darker ANSI 61 Gray version, and it seals with a high compression, closed cell black gasket built with multiple seal dams. The base mounting bracket is unpainted 304 stainless steel. Inside the hood, a direct spray barrier and baffle are designed to maximize airflow while protecting the cabinet from overspray.

Overall dimensions are 12.68 in (322 mm) high by 10.87 in (276 mm) wide by 3.56 in (90 mm) deep, with a nominal size of 13 in x 11 in x 4 in (330 mm x 279 mm x 102 mm). The drawing for RH30000N4LG shows a 8.18 in x 8.43 in cutout and four 0.28 in mounting holes. Shipping weight is 8 lbs (3.63 kg), and the rainhood is sold individually in a box.

Installation is simple: the mounting bracket is installed around the existing fan cutout and the rainhood slides down over the bracket. The tool-less design allows the hood to be removed for maintenance and filter mat replacement. De-energize the system before washdown; the rainhood will not prevent hazardous gases or humidity from entering the cabinet.

For extra protection, the RHA30000N4G galvanized steel grill/solid cover kit can be installed in the bottom opening of this hood. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
