Hammond RCBS1901017BK1 6U Enclosed Desktop Rack Cabinet, 600 lb Capacity

The RCBS1901017BK1 is a 6U enclosed desktop rack cabinet for mounting 19-inch equipment on a bench, desk or cart. It suits AV and media installations, studios and control rooms, test and measurement benches, and lab or development environments where equipment needs protection in a compact footprint.

Construction is 16-gauge welded steel (mild steel) rated for a 600 lb load, finished in RAL9005 Black textured powder coat. The cabinet is fully enclosed with a bottom panel plus a combined top-and-sides assembly, and it ships with two black plastic handles for portability between workstations and four plug bumpers (non-marking rubber feet) for stable desktop placement. The same size is offered in RAL7035 light gray as RCBS1901017LG1.

Overall dimensions are 12.50 in (318 mm) high x 21.00 in (533 mm) wide x 17.50 in (445 mm) deep, with a shipping weight of 28 lbs (12.70 kg). Usable mounting height is 10.50 in (267 mm) for 6U of equipment, and usable mounting depth is 16.88 in (429 mm); the drawing lists a usable depth of 16.76 in (426 mm). The 19-inch mounting width is 18.35 in (466 mm) and the front opening measures 17.81 in (452 mm).

Mounting rails are fixed-depth and EIA-310 compliant with 0.28 in (7 mm) round holes that accept 10-32 clip nuts; RCBS1901017BK1 is shipped with a starter pack (CLPKIT1032-10) of 10-32 clip nuts and a matching quantity of 1421ABK black screws. Rails are recessed at front and rear to improve equipment clearance. The cabinet is TAA-compliant and made in Canada, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant.
