Hammond RB-VCM40 40U Vertical Cable Manager With Hinged Door

The RB-VCM40 is a 40U vertical cable manager with a hinged door, designed to route and contain cables alongside open frame racks. It is part of the Rack Basics line, aimed at IT, AV, network and low-voltage installers who need organized vertical cable runs without the cost or complexity of high-density finger duct systems.

Construction is all-steel, using 16-gauge mild steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. A hinged door with magnetic closure keeps cables contained while allowing quick access, and side and rear cut-outs provide flexible pass-through points. Integrated cable mounting lances accept hook and loop straps without extra accessories, and the separated internal space lets cables be added or removed without fishing through existing bundles.

The channel measures 6.00 in (152 mm) wide and 5.00 in (127 mm) deep, with an overall height of 75.00 in (1905 mm) and a mounting dimension of 70.00 in (1778 mm) covering 40 rack units; the product list gives a nominal size of 68 in x 6 in x 5 in (1,727 mm x 152 mm x 127 mm). Shipping weight is 32 lbs (14.51 kg).

RB-VCM40 mounts to either side of an open frame rack and is compatible with Hammond and many third-party racks; within the Hammond line it pairs with the DNRR70HDW 19-inch relay rack. Horizontal stabilizers swing away during installation and return to position to provide structural support once the manager is in place.

Made in Canada and TAA compliant, the RB-VCM40 also carries USMCA, RoHS and REACH compliance, supporting government and enterprise procurement requirements.
