Hammond RB-SHELF 2U Solid Steel Rack Shelf, 16 in Deep, 50 lb

RB-SHELF is a fixed 2U solid rack shelf for standard 19-inch EIA-compliant racks and cabinets. It gives IT, AV, telecom and general-purpose users a simple way to support equipment that has no rack-mount ears, from small switches and media players to test gear and peripherals.

The shelf is formed from 16-gauge mild steel with stiffener lips folded down at the front and back, adding rigidity without interfering with the equipment sitting on the shelf surface. Rated for a 50 lb load, it is intended for light-duty support. The finish is a black textured powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance requirements.

Nominal size is 3.5 in x 19 in x 16 in (89 mm x 483 mm x 406 mm). Mounting dimensions are 3.48 in (88 mm) high, 19.30 in (490 mm) wide and 16.00 in (406 mm) deep, occupying 2U of rack space. The drawing shows an overall footprint of 17.40 in (442 mm) with a 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting flange width and 18.31 in (465 mm) hole spacing. Shipping weight is 8 lbs (3.63 kg).

RB-SHELF ships with 10-32 mounting hardware and can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface, adding flexibility in tight rack builds. It is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America (Country of Origin: CA), USMCA, RoHS and REACH compliant, which suits government and regulated procurement. A vented version, RB-SHELFV, is available in the same series when airflow through the shelf surface is preferred.
