Hammond RASV190520BK1 3U Vented Rack Shelf, 20 in Deep, 200 lb Capacity

The RASV190520BK1 is a 3U fixed, vented universal rack shelf built to support equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted. It mounts in standard 19-inch EIA-compliant racks and cabinets, making it suitable for IT, AV and industrial installations where switches, amplifiers, small servers, UPS units or test instruments need a solid support surface.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel finished in painted black textured powder coat. The finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental requirements. The vented shelf pan allows airflow around the supported equipment; a stiffener lip folded up at the back adds rigidity and helps retain equipment. Venting slots measure 0.24 x 1.50 in.

Mounting dimensions are 5.25 in (133 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide with a 20.00 in (508 mm) depth, occupying 3 rack units. The front panel measures 19.01 in (483 mm) wide with mounting slots on 18.32 in (465 mm) centers. Suggested load capacity is 200 lbs (91 kg), and the product was tested to double the suggested load rating. Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg).

RASV190520BK1 can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface, converting rack space into a usable platform. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. The optional RASCLAMP clamping arm accessory provides secure equipment retention for 2U and 3U sizes, replacing the legacy RACS Series. If maximum surface support is preferred over airflow, the solid (un-vented) equivalent is RASU190520BK1.
