Hammond R149-030-000 48mm Round Tube Fixed Base, Die-Cast Aluminum

The R149-030-000 is the Tara Plus Base 48, a command fitting from the TPSSB48 Series that anchors a Tara Plus suspension system built on 48mm round tube. It is intended for operator interface installations where a suspended enclosure or control panel is carried on a vertical tube run from a fixed base point.

This base is made from die-cast aluminum G Al Si 12. It is a fixed fitting with no rotation, so any swivel movement in the system has to come from other components. It is compatible with both tube up and tube down configurations, which means it can be used where the tube rises from the base or hangs down from it.

Note the configuration limit: the Base 48 is not for use with any horizontal configurations. Plan it for vertical 48mm tube runs in either orientation.

The fitting measures 4.73 in x 4.73 in x 3.94 in (120 mm x 120 mm x 100 mm) H x W x D and has a shipping weight of 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg). R149-030-000 is REACH and RoHS compliant, and its short description on the manufacturer part page is simply BASE 48.

Engineers laying out a Tara Plus arm can use the R149-030-000 as the fixed mounting point for a 48mm round tube, keeping the tube size and orientation rules above in mind when specifying the rest of the suspension components.
