The R102-202-000 is a rectangular diecast aluminum enclosure from the aluNORM R100 family, built in the Matching Lid & Body (R102) style. It measures 200 mm wide by 300 mm long with a depth of 80 mm with the lid fitted (7.87 in x 11.81 in x 3.15 in), and it is finished in beige. OEM engineers, panel builders and electricians use it to house controls, sensors and electronics that must stay sealed against water and oil in industrial settings.

The body is die-cast from G AI SI 12 / DIN 1775 aluminum alloy with a thick, water-tight wall. A neoprene gasket that resists oil and petrol seals the lid, which is held by captive stainless steel screws. Hammond's patented single-channel system uses the same channel for mounting the enclosure and fastening the lid, keeping lid screws and mounting holes outside the gasket seal and giving more interior space than dual-channel designs.
