Hammond R102-164-000 160x320x66mm IP66 Diecast Aluminum Enclosure, Beige

The R102-164-000 is a elongated diecast aluminum enclosure from the aluNORM R100 family, built in the Matching Lid & Body (R102) style. It measures 160 mm wide by 320 mm long with a depth of 66 mm with the lid fitted (6.3 in x 12.6 in x 2.6 in), and it is finished in beige. OEM engineers, panel builders and electricians use it to house controls, sensors and electronics that must stay sealed against water and oil in industrial settings.

The body is die-cast from G AI SI 12 / DIN 1775 aluminum alloy with a thick, water-tight wall. A neoprene gasket that resists oil and petrol seals the lid, which is held by captive stainless steel screws. The enclosure is rated IP66 and carries NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings; the series is CSA certified and UL Listed Type 4 for use with industrial control equipment, with an operating temperature range of -40ºC to +80ºC (-40ºF to 176ºF).

Inside, the R102-164-000 accepts a printed circuit board up to 304.9 mm x 144.9 mm. Internal mounting shelves along both sides include blind holes and grounding screws, and the enclosure holes are threaded for easy installation and disassembly. Hammond's patented single-channel system uses the same channel for mounting the enclosure and fastening the lid, keeping lid screws and mounting holes outside the gasket seal and giving more interior space than dual-channel designs.
