Hammond R101-322-000 320x480x120mm Deep-Lid Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The R101-322-000 is a thick-wall, water-tight die-cast aluminum enclosure from the R100 aluNORM family, built in the Deep Lid, Shallow Body (R101 Series) format with a deep lid on a shallow body. It suits OEM engineers, panel builders and electricians who need a sealed housing for industrial control equipment, electronics and circuit boards where a water-tight IP66 seal is required.

The body and lid are cast from G AI SI 12 / DIN 1775 aluminum alloy and finished in a beige textured polyester powder coat. A neoprene gasket resistant to oil and petrol seals the lid, and the captive stainless steel lid screws sit outside the gasket seal together with the mounting holes.

This size measures 320 mm wide by 480 mm long with a 120 mm depth including the lid (12.6 in x 18.9 in x 4.72 in (320 mm x 480 mm x 120 mm)). It accepts a printed circuit board up to 462.9 mm long by 303 mm wide on the internal mounting shelves, and the shipping weight is 15 lbs (6.80 kg).

Hammond's patented single-channel fastening system uses the same threaded enclosure hole for mounting the enclosure and fastening the lid, which leaves more interior space than dual-channel designs. Internal mounting shelves along both sides include blind holes and grounding screws. Matching accessories for this size are a 2 mm galvanized steel inner panel (R507-322-000) and a hinge set of 2 (R510-000-000). External mounting feet are not listed for this size, so it mounts through the single-channel holes.

The enclosure is rated IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 & 13, is CSA certified and UL Listed Type 4 for use with industrial control equipment, operates from -40ºC up to +80ºC (-40ºF to 176ºF), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
