Hammond R100-084-035 80x160x60 mm Type 4X Diecast Enclosure, Light Gray

The R100-084-035 is the longest 80 mm wide size in Hammond's R100 Series of Type 4X diecast aluminum enclosures (aluNORM - Watertight, Thick Wall), finished in RAL 7035 light gray. It is built for panel builders, OEM engineers and electricians who need a rugged, sealed housing for a P.C. board up to 147.2 mm x 66.9 mm.

The part page lists the size as 3.15 in x 7.87 in x 2.36 in (80 mm x 200 mm x 60 mm), while the R100 ordering table gives 80 mm width, 160 mm length and 60 mm depth with lid for the -084 size; confirm the length before ordering. It accepts a maximum P.C. board of 147.2 mm x 66.9 mm. Shipping weight is 1 lbs (0.45 kg).

The body is die-cast aluminum to G AI SI 12 / DIN 1775 in a thick-wall, shallow lid and deep body design, coated in textured polyester powder. A standard neoprene gasket resists oil and petrol, and the enclosure is rated IP66, CSA certified and UL Listed Type 4 for use with industrial control equipment, with an operating temperature range of -40ºC to +80ºC (-40ºF to 176ºF).

Hammond's patented single-channel system uses the same threaded enclosure hole both to mount the enclosure and to fasten the lid, keeping lid screws and mounting holes outside the gasket seal and giving more interior space than dual-channel designs. The lid screws are captive stainless steel, and internal mounting shelves along both sides carry blind holes and grounding screws. Listed accessories are R501-002-080 external feet and the R507-084-000 inner panel; no hinge is listed for the -084 size.
