Hammond PWS3152A115N4SS 5800 BTU/h Air/Water Heat Exchanger, 115V Stainless

The PWS3152A115N4SS is a tall, narrow air/water heat exchanger from the PWS 3000 Series: the 5800 BTU/h model of the 3000-6000 BTU/H PWS 3000 range, built in a tall, narrow 11.78 in wide housing for enclosure walls with limited width. Panel builders and OEM designers use it to cool enclosures with chilled water/glycol, tower water or other circulated coolants where ambient conditions are hot, harsh or subject to frequent wash-down.

The PWS 3152 is rated at 5800 BTU/h (1700 W) with the enclosure at +95 F (+35 C) and water at +50 F (+10 C); it moves 175 CFM (297 m3/h) of air and uses 2 GPM (450 L/h) of coolant at rated capacity. This is the 115 V version, specified for 60 Hz supply; it consumes 55.7 W and draws 0.56 A running current, with a terminal block power connection. An integrated thermostat and solenoid valve with alarm contact provide automatic temperature control.

The exterior case of this variant is 304 stainless steel, and the part description rates it NEMA/Type 4/4X, which suits wash-down and corrosive locations. Inside, a rugged (10 bar) copper tube / aluminum fin heat exchanger connects through a 1/2 in barb. Side, door or internal mounting gives installation flexibility, and the low noise design is maintenance-free. The manual requires coolant at least 10 C colder than the inlet air.
