The PWDP13017 is a standard replacement plate transformer for the Collins 30S-1 linear amplifier, from the Peter W. Dahl custom transformer files. It is intended for 30S-1 owners and restorers replacing the amplifier's plate transformer.
The primary is 115/230 VAC 60 Hz, single phase, with hi-lo taps. On the high primary tap, S1 delivers 6320 VCT at 350 mA CCS and S2 delivers 245 VAC at 350 mA CCS. The drawing shows the secondary as 2331V (3255V) either side of a 0V center tap on white leads, plus a yellow 186V (260V) lead; the bracketed values correspond to the high tap.
PWDP13017 is built on an EI-300 x 3.375 core, Style 4. The drawing gives overall figures of 9.0000", 7.5000", 6.8750" and 5.8760", with a 4.6250" by 5.8750" footprint detail, and all leads at least 30" out. The approximate weight is 67 lbs (30.39 kg).
