Hammond PTF1200LG 115V Type 12 Top Mount Filter Fan, 589 CFM

The PTF1200LG is the indoor, Type 12 version of the PTF 1200 Top Mount Filterfan, built for 115V AC supplies. It exhausts excess heat from densely packed control cabinets through the enclosure roof and is aimed at panel builders, OEM machine builders and electrical contractors who need high airflow without giving up interior space.

Airflow is rated at 589 CFM unimpeded and 512 CFM when combined with two PFA60000LG inlet filter grills, which the series requires for the most efficient performance. The fan is a 170 W EC centrifugal design with ball bearings, a 71 Pa maximum static pressure and an L10 service life of approximately 70,000 h at +40 °C. Filtration uses a NEMA 12 filtermat of grade G4 with 81% efficiency, and the manufacturer states the PTF 1200 product kit is equivalent to a 3000 BTU air conditioner with a 5.6 °F temperature difference.

The housing is powder-coated 16 gauge sheet steel finished in RAL 7035 light grey, with a metal pagoda cover that can be removed and painted to match the enclosure or machine. The unit measures 11.81 x 11.81 x 6.1 in (300 x 300 x 155 mm), needs a 229 x 229 mm cut-out, and screw-mounts flush on the enclosure roof with 0 mm installed depth. Filters are replaced by removing the top plate.

The PTF1200LG maintains an IP 54 / NEMA Type 12 seal, is certified to UL 508A (UL File #E489500) with a cUL approved fan motor, and carries cULus and CE approvals. It connects with an X-COM plug, draws 2.20 A starting current, and is fused at 6 A Class CC maximum. Operating range at 115V is -25 to +50 °C (-13 to +122 °F).
