The PQF400 is the largest size in the PQF Premium Quick Filter series, a roll of 60 tear-off square sheets that each measure 400 x 400 mm (16 x 16 in). It is meant for engineers and maintenance crews who need to pre-filter the air at larger inlet openings, such as bigger fan grills on enclosures and machinery, and want sheets they can swap in seconds.
Every sheet is cut from a flame retardant filter material that is 40 g/m² and 0.29 mm thick. The material filters out particulates from 145 to 60 µm and oily mist from an air inlet, helping keep downstream filter mats and equipment cleaner.
The filter is externally mounted using magnetic strips, which are included, and it is suitable for any air-inlet opening on any type of equipment. Replacing a sheet is a matter of removing the old one and putting a new one in place. Note that the magnet is not compatible with stainless steel or non-metallic surfaces, which require alternate mounting.
As a pre-filter, the PQF400 does not provide an IP or NEMA Type Rating. The packaged roll is 4 x 16 x 4 in (102 x 406 x 102 mm) and ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg). It is REACH and RoHS compliant, UPC 623980143194.
