Hammond PKS3363A115N4LG 180 W/°C 115V Type 3R/4 Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger

The PKS3363A115N4LG is a Type 3R/4 closed loop air to air heat exchanger from the PKS4 Series, rated 180 W/°C (100 W/°F) and powered from a 115V 60 Hz supply. It is the highest capacity in the series, designed for outdoor applications and suited to outdoor switch cabinets that must keep their NEMA 3R/4 rating.

An air to air heat exchanger is a fit when the surrounding air is at least 10°C/18°F cooler than the target internal temperature. Clean enclosure air is recirculated in a closed loop and never mixes with contaminated ambient air, and the series is described as more energy efficient with lower maintenance costs than air conditioners. At a 20°C/36°F difference between ambient and target internal temperature, the PKS3363A115N4LG shows a sample performance of 3600W (12200 BTU); actual cooling depends on that ΔT.

The ordering table gives 35.30 in (897 mm) high, 11.97 in (304 mm) wide and 16.04 in (407 mm) deep including louvers, which extend 1.5 in on either side (nominal size 35 in x 12 in x 16 in (889 mm x 305 mm x 406 mm)). Shipping weight is 65 lbs (29.48 kg). The cover is finished in Light Gray (RAL7035) powder coated steel. The unit maintains the enclosure's NEMA 3R/4 rating, is rated IP 56 and carries UR, cUR and CE marks, uses R134a refrigerant, and its EMI/RFI suppression meets CE.

For installation, a gasket, mounting kit and template for the cutout and drilling are included, and the unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The thermostat control is accessible from inside the enclosure, and a door contact provision powers the unit down when the enclosure door is opened. Remote door switches and gasket kits are available as accessories.
