Hammond PJU864HWF 8x6x4 Hinged Screw Cover Window Box, Flange Mount

The PJU864HWF is a 8 x 6 x 4 Type 4X fiberglass polyester junction box from the PJU Series with a bonded polycarbonate viewing window in a hinged screw cover and a mounting flange. The viewing window allows the interior to be seen with the cover closed. Typical uses are instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, including locations that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.

The box and matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a light gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. This version uses a hinged cover that swings on a continuous stainless steel hinge pin and is held closed by 2 stainless steel captive cover screws threading into #10-32 brass inserts. A captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket provides a positive seal.

Enclosure dimensions are 8.05 in (204 mm) high, 6.27 in (159 mm) wide and 4.13 in (105 mm) deep (nominal 8 x 6 x 4 in), and the shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R0705 inner panel at 6.75 in (171 mm) by 4.88 in (124 mm), available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. For mounting, the PJU864HWF comes with (2) polycarbonate flanges (glued) with (4) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws; mounting hardware is included.

The series is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F) and the impact index is 6.78 J (5 ft/lb). RoHS and REACH compliant.
