Hammond PJU664F 6x6x4 In Solid Screw Cover Type 4X Box, Flange

The PJU664F is a 6 x 6 x 4 in nominal Type 4X polyester junction box from the PJU Series with a solid lift-off cover held by captive stainless steel screws. Typical uses listed for the series are instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, particularly where equipment is hosed down, very wet, hot or exposed to corrosive environments.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish. The fiberglass polyester is easily punched, cut or drilled, carries enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and rates an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb). It seals with a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket; the cover is fastened by captive screws threaded into four #10-32 brass inserts.

Enclosure dimensions are 6.05 in H x 6.27 in W x 4.13 in D (154 mm x 159 mm x 105 mm). With its two glued polycarbonate mounting flanges fitted, the drawing shows an overall height of 7.63 in. Threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R0505 inner panel, which measures 4.88 in x 4.88 in and is offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The PJU664F mounts through (8) R.162 in (R4.10 mm) mounting slots in its polycarbonate flanges; the drawing gives a vertical slot distance of 6.75 in (171.44 mm) min. to 6.88 in (174.74 mm) max. and 5.18 in horizontal centers. Mounting hardware is included. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 6P, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 6P, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 6P, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66 and IP68. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
