The PJ16148RHW is a 16.27 in H x 14.40 in W x 8.13 in D (413 x 366 x 207 mm) Type 4X enclosure with a raised hinged cover and a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It gives a clear view of meters, controllers or indicators inside instrument enclosures, control housings and terminal wiring enclosures without opening the door.
The body and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The enclosure is easily punched, cut or drilled, rated for an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F).
A continuous stainless steel hinge carries the window door, which closes with two stainless steel captive screws with retaining O-rings into #10-32 brass inserts. The fasteners include a padlocking provision, and a closed cell neoprene gasket seals the opening.
Ratings are UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66; the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. Four stainless steel mounting feet attach at the rear, and the PJ16148RHW accepts the optional 14R1513 inner panel, 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm). Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg).
